Sennheiser blew the headphone world apart when in 1991 they released the Sennheiser Orpheus, which comprised of the HE90 Headphone matched with a HEV90 tube Amplifier. They were limited to run of only 300 pairs and retailed for $15k. Yes $15000! It is considered by many to still be the best headphone out there and a couple years ago it won a shootout on the HeadFi forum (the number 1 forum for anything headphone related) for the best headphone. So you can imagine when one of these come up for sale, it’s kinda a big deal.
